Teignmouth Update from Andy Greenslade – 23/2/2021

I’m sorry to say that under the covid restrictions announced last night we are having to cancel Teignmouth scooter rally for 2021. We have had an idea this would be the case for a while but felt waiting until after the latest announcement before making a final decision was the right thing to do.

Devon Valley have been great as usual and will be emailing everyone to give you two options –

1. To move your booking forward to next years event which will take place over the weekend of April 1st to 3rd 2022. We hope that most of you guys will take this option to help us moving forward and keeping the scooter scene ticking over until we are finally past this.

2. To receive a full repayment of accommodation, please note if you take up this option the repayments will take up to 28 days as the park is running on a bare minimum of staff for obvious reasons.

My personal opinion is that we are on the cusp of a turning point and although when we cancelled this event last year, I never thought in a million years Id have to do it again this year its simply just a bit to early at the moment. Even if we had been able to run the event at this stage, I’m not sure I would have been comfortable putting it on quite yet.

The vaccine rollout is going great and the early data from Israel shows very positive signs that the vaccines are actually reducing transmission so I choose to look on the positive side for the future.

Teignmouth Scooter Rally – 2021 rally cancelled

This is a SWSC rally and to book accommodation here is a link to the Devon Valley holiday village website, or you can call 01626 871400 (Monday – Friday, 9-5) and quote ‘scooter rally’.

THERE IS VERY LIMITED AVAILABILITY AS MOST PEOPLE CARRIED OVER THEIR BOOKING FROM 2020.

You need to be staying on the site to gain entry to the evening entertainment and wristbands are only available when you check in.

Numbers are restricted to around 750 at this event to only people staying onsite and it is strictly over 18’s only.

Weekend entry for the event will be £20 which you pay on the door when getting your accommodation

Bands for 2021 :
Friday night – The Modules
Saturday afternoon – No Lip
Saturday night – The Rocker Covers

There is a separate northern room on both nights.

Ridden custom show on Saturday from 11.30AM – 12.30PM
Rideout on Saturday at 1pm

You can go onsite for the Saturday daytime only for £5 on the door – 10am until 6pm.
