I’d been persuaded to organise a reunion by a few pals including Deb Fernee and Ollie Tottey so we gathered on a wet March evening at Felpham Sailing Club for the first gathering of the Felpham Comp Class Of 83 in 20 odd years.
As it turned out, it was a fab evening, and many of those who gathered I’d not seen since we left over 40 years ago.
Our guests included four teachers too, Miss Ramshaw (who insisted I call her Denise, which still feels wrong even though I’m in my late 50s!!), Mrs Williams (whom I credit for my O Level maths grade A), Miss George / Mrs Weston (who is about to retire after 42 years at the school) and Ms Smith (who really doesn’t look any different to how she did in the early 80s!).
I’d made some photo collages which everyone had fun looking at, and Andrew Birch brought a photo album which also included some of his school reports!
My big schoolgirl error was forgetting to bring the panoramic photo of the Class Of 83 which has been sitting in my home office for months now! Sorry about that – but here are the scans of it and there are still a few names missing if you can fill in any gaps.
So this post is mainly just a photo dump for everyone to see, as many of those who came aren’t on social media.

I’ve just stumbled across this site by chance, I’m so sorry I missed the reunion. If it’s Ali (blonde hair) running this, we do spot each other occasionally on the prom, I’ve no idea if you recall me from FCS, I was painfully shy and a bit of a non-entity frankly.
If you or anyone is interested I’ve got scanned photos of the school’s Presentation Day from Sept 1983, which lists everyone in our year with their O and CSE results.
