We spent the second week of the Easter holidays on a midlands road trip, all arranged around Pompey playing away at Shrewsbury, and with perfect timing the final stop on our journey was the VMSC Extravaganza in Coventry. VMSC is the Vintage Motor Scooter Club and their extravaganza is a custom show and parts fair, held at the Sport Connexion Centre in Ryton.
We got there quite early which was great as it hadn’t got too busy by then, giving me great views of all the lovely scooters on display.

There was a wide range of machines on display, from full-blown muralled, engraved beauties, to perfectly-restored scoots.
I managed to get some shots of a couple of owners with their pride and joy, Daz with Top Banana and organiser Ian Harrop on his Model D.

There were over 30 classes, with trophies for each winner. I know that Gary Wickham picked up 7 of them, including Best In Show. If I find out more winners then I’ll add the info in here.
Then we went outside where more scooters were arriving all the time, filling up the large car park. I got some brilliant action shots of some of the later arrivals, more of which are in the gallery below.

I also shot loads of video which will take a while to edit but will all be on my Instagram, so do check them out – I’m @scootergirlie over there!
It had been a great morning but we had to head off home, ready to get back to normal for work and school tomorrow. It was great to see some of our scooter mates again and I can’t wait to do it properly at Weston in a couple of weeks.
