With the war on plastic in full swing I thought it worth promoting the Bognor water refill stations so that locals and visitors alike can bring their own bottles and fill them up again when on the go.
There is a website dedicated to refill schemes and businesses can register on there if they are happy to provide a refill station. There are some Bognor businesses registered, like Hatters and Costa but I’m sure it would be worthwhile for their general footfall if new ones were added. Here is a link to their website. I downloaded the app which is great as you can look for refill stations wherever you go!
However, as an early morning runner it’s nice to know where the public spots are so that I can rehydrate, especially on days like today when it is in the 20s by 6am. Most businesses aren’t open that early so the Bognor water refill stations below are taps which are available 24/7.
The most westerly point on the prom is at the Aldwick Beach Cafe where there is a tap for bottles and bowls for dogs to use too.
My next refill station in Bognor is in the town opposite the Regis Centre.
As you travel east, there is a tap in Felpham outside the pubic toilets next to the sailing club.
I hope this has inspired you to use less plastic and use the Bognor water refill stations rather than buying new bottles.
I’m sure many of the local cafes will also fill your bottle if you ask nicely! If you know of more stations then please comment below and I will add them.
If you are planning on visiting Bognor soon then you can find some great deals on places to stay on Booking.com…
