The weather forecast was slightly foreboding for the third Scooter Sunday in Petersfield’s market square. There was 10% chance of rain and unfortunately we rode through a light shower as we rode through Harting and the lovely country roads into North Hampshire. But once we arrived the skies were cloudy but dry, and eventually the sun came out, making it a superb way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Terry Hendrick’s Soul Pressure Sound System crew laid on some awesome music and there were plenty of food options around the town.
Scooter Sunday 3
Here’s a view of the square as a whole, although it was before many of the scooters turned up.

It was nice to be able to take a photo of a scooterist who was under 40 (no offence to us veterans on the scene) and his Vespa 50 Special made me very nostalgic for my youth!

And here are the scooters. Retro ones, modern ones, rusty and matt black ones, top custom show winning ones and gorgeous restorations in all their glory. Enjoy!

Amongst the restorations, the standard bikes and the custom scooters, I do love a rusty one too! You can see my collection of rusty and rat rod Vespas and Lambrettas here.

I’ve seen a lilac Vespa like this one before, at the Isle of Wight rally a few years ago, and it could be the same scooter. It features in my pink scooters post, along with the lovely lady rider!

This Supertune Lambretta features many bespoke parts and accessories, the source of which I have forgotten already. I do know that it was tuned by JB and a new seat is being made for it, ready for its next outing!

Wee Mark’s custom Lambretta, Still Sick, has a matt black 80s vibe going on.

Scooterists came from far and wide for Scooter Sunday, including the New Forest, Reading, Crawley, Worthing, Bognor and the Portsmouth area.

If you were there, or would like to see what it was like in video form, then watch below as I wander around the square with a GoPro gaffer-taped to the top of a selfie stick! The video is on my YouTube channel to which I’m adding new content all the time.

Looks like a good turn out. Ace pics as always.
It was really good and lots of familiar faces. We were lucky with the weather too!
